Future Fashion

Future Fashion began with a simple question: if I want to own my clothes for a long time, who am I becoming as I age - and how will I dress? This reflection revealed how few images we see of fashionable older women, sparking Liz’s obsession with reimagining a future where they are vibrant, visible, and celebrates creativity, friendship, and aging with pride.
The women depicted are not real, but possibilities of the people we might become - confident, vibrant, and unbound by outdated beauty standards. Groups of women dressed alike symbolise lifelong friendships, the power of camaraderie, and the ways clothing strengthens our sense of self as we age. Throughout Liz’s 15-year career, most older women she approached politely declined photographs, believing their time had passed. In Australia particularly, internal and external judgment silences older women’s visibility. Future Fashion challenges this, presenting aging as beautiful, bold, and worth celebrating. These 100 AI images form an unshoppable, joyful source of inspiration - a rebellion against fashion’s youth-obsessed hyper-consuming echo chamber.
They offer a new future: one where style knows no age limit, where women continue to be seen and valued at every stage of life.
Through Future Fashion, Liz invites reflection on how we age, dress, and strengthen personal identity through clothing when traditional roles fall away. It’s a love letter to our future selves - and a call to imagine aging as a time of freedom and self-expression.
